The new Vauxhall Astra is due to be unveiled this weekend at the final round of the BTCC at Brands Hatch in Kent.

This new model will be the 6th generation – and built in Ellesmere Port in Cheshire.  It is to boast Vauxhalls Flexride system, a longer wheelbase and more new features to improve on previous models.

This will be Vauxhalls last BTCC race as they withdraw from the competition after over 20 years of success – the Astra Coupe being the most successful car in touring car history.
